Mike Caldwell is a CIA assassin who thinks he’s finally got a real case to work on. At a remote construction site in Iraq, something deadly and dangerous has been unearthed, and Mike believes he’s dealing with a powerful pathogen that turns the infected into primal killing machines. The truth, however, is far worse.

The ancient prison of the fallen angel Semyaza has been uncovered, and for the first time in thousands of years it is free to roam the earth, possessing the bodies of the humans he hates. And everywhere his goes, Hell is sure to follow.

Now Mike is on Semyaza’s trail, hunting a demon whose mere presence turns every living thing near it into a weapon of mass destruction. Both merchants of death are on a collision course, while the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.

"Some books are like grenades with the pin pulled. Open 'em up and BAM!!!!, there's blood and brutal doings to spare. That's how I feel when I crack covers on an Erik Williams book. Handle this one with care... and watch out for flying shrapnel." -Norman Partridge, Bram Stoker Award-winning  author of Dark Harvest

"Demon is a swiftly-paced novel that kicks ass all over the place." -Ray Garton, author of Serpent Girl and Live Girls

"Demon -like a hellacious cross between 24The Exorcist and a videogame. Fast-paced and wicked fun." -Jonathan Maberry, NY Times bestseller and multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Patient Zero

"Some things just won't stay buried...no matter how sanctified the ground. Set amid the turmoil and terror of the present war, a much more ancient battle--the ultimate battle of GOOD versus EVIL in which Man is only a pawn--is resurrected...and God help us all." -P.D. Cacek, multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning author of The Wind Caller

"I have read much of Williams' shorter works and enjoyed the hell out of them, and I wasn't disappointed with his first full novel. He has an uncanny knack for realistic dialogue, and his firsthand experience with naval procedure gives this military horror novel an air of authenticity that helps propel it along at a pleasantly fast pace. The main character is the type of antihero readers love to root for, and he infuses just the right amount of humor, gore, theology and, of course, zombies. The ending is dead on, and he sets it up beautifully for a sequel I will be anxiously awaiting. Highly recommended." -Kevin Wallis, author of Beneath the Surface of Things

"If you enjoy a good flow to your story, don't mind a few guts spilled here and there, then you have to check this out." -Benjamin Kane Ethridge, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Black & Orange and Bottled Abyss

HEALTHY CAUSTIC SMILE - A Collection of Short...Oddball Horror Stories

A grin you can’t wipe off...even with a scouring pad.
A laugh that sticks in your throat...but manages to claw itself back out.
A shudder you can’t shake...no matter how hard your body tries to twist free.

HEALTHY CAUSTIC SMILE is a collection of dark, twisted, and savagely funny tales that dare you to keep reading—even when your instincts scream look away. You’ll encounter horrors both grotesque and absurd, where the line between laughter and revulsion blurs into something far more unsettling.

Maybe you’ll feel bad for enjoying them. Maybe you’ll feel worse for recognizing something true in them. Or maybe you’ll just sit very still, wondering why your reflection is grinning a little too wide.

These stories bite. They fester. They linger. And just when you think you’ve steeled yourself against them…they corrode.

Proceed with caution.

"Erik Williams' latest is tough, dark, and assured. There's grit and grue to spare. Progeny is an escalator ride straight down into some subbasement of Hell." -Laird Barron

"Crisp dialogue and hair-trigger action make the scenes crackle with tension." -Weston Ochse

"As always, Erik Williams delivers heart-stopping action, clean and stylistic prose, and unforgettable characters - if sometimes flawed and brutal - in Progeny. Blood magic and brutality! Highly recommended." -John Hornor Jacobs, author of This Dark Earth and Southern Gods

"The prose is mean, gritty, relentlessly paced. Readers of Cain and Chandler should feel at home here...well, except for the severed heads, of course. This is the new Hard-Boiled, and Erik Williams has just proven himself its most brutal and self-assured voice." -Joe McKinney
